Front-office Robots

… work directly on specifically provided computer systems or those of employees. Their actions are triggered either by the employee himself or by previously defined „triggers“, such as the receipt of an e-mail. Back-office Robots

… run on corporate servers and therefore do not need a separate computer. Via the server, they can selectively switch to required resources or work in virtual machines. Their sequence can take place in the background without any special observation, which is why they are particularly suitable for frequently or constantly running processes which do not require any human intervention.

Organisation

… is usually done via RPA software manufacturers‘ own systems, such as the UiPath Orchestrator. The highly scalable applications are mostly browser- or cloud-based, allowing constant control of the robots without special equipment.
